Born in 1970, Mr. Hiroshi Ebina is an Economics Graduate from Faculty of Economics, Kyoto University, Japan. He started his career with Nippon Steel Corporation (NSC) in 1992, and worked in various department such as General Administration, Finance, Marketing, across various units of NSC across the world. In 2013 Mr. Ebina became the Head of Global Business Development Department, Automotive Flat Products Sales Division and Board Member of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Galvanizing Thailand (in Thailand) and Commissioner, of P.T Krakatau Nippon Steel & Sumikin (in Indonesia). In 2016 he was elevated as General Manager, Head of Automotive Flat Products Global Marketing Department, Automotive Flat Products Sales Division, NSC. In 2018 he was appointed as Managing Director of Nippon Steel India Private Limited (formerly Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal India Private Limited) and also became the Chairman of M/s Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing & Processing Company Private Limited (JCAPCPL) and Director of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited (AM/NS) India. In June 2024, he became the General Manager, Global Business Development Division-1, Global Business Development Sector and became Chief Marketing Officer, G Steel Public Company Limited as well as Chief Marketing Officer, GJ Steel Public Company Limited in November 2024. With effect from April 1, 2026, Mr. Ebina is again appointed as Managing Director of M/s Nippon Steel India Private Limited.

Mr. Ujjal Chakraborti joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1990.

He has worked in different capacities across functions and locations within the organization in Engineering and projects, CRM Operations, Electrical Maintenance - CRM, Black Belt ASPIRE (Flat Product & Tubes), Business Analysis Group, Sinter Plant, Pellet Plant, Agglomerates, IBMD, Tubes, JCAPCPL, deputation stint at erstwhile BSL and Tinplate Division.

In 2008, Mr. Chakraborti was promoted as Chief CRC- West and later in the same year he was transferred as Chief Business Analysis Raw Materials & CSI. In 2010, he was transferred as Chief Sinter Plant and in 2013, he was transferred as Chief Pellet plant. In 2014, he was transferred as Chief Agglomerates and in 2017, he was transferred as Executive-In-Charge (IBMD). In 2018, he proceeded on deputation to erstwhile TS BSL as Officer on Deputation and later in the same year, on return from deputation, he was appointed as EIC Tubes. In 2021, he was appointed as MD JCAPCPL and proceeded on deputation. In 2024, he was appointed as EIC -Tinplate. In 2026, he was promoted as Vice President Operations Downstream, the position he currently holds. He is responsible for operations of downstream units - Tubes Jamshedpur, Units of Khopoli and Sahibabad, Tinplate division, all Wires units, Cold Rolling Complex at Bara and Tarapur.

Dibyendu Dutta is currently the Group Head of M&A and Treasury. He is both a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant. Dutta began his career with Tata Steel in 1993, working in the Jharia division and the FAMD Synergy Group. In 2000, he moved to ICRA and later joined the Taj Group of Hotels, where he worked in Corporate Finance M&A and served as SBU Finance Head. He also managed projects for Oracle Financials in Finance & Materials. He returned to Tata Steel in 2009 as the Chief of M&A and now holds his current position.

Mr. Soichi Yonezawa was born in 1968. He joined NSSMC in April 1991 after graduating from Tokyo University in Law. After joining NSSMC, he has worked as a Manager in various areas including IT, Production Planning, and Labour relations. From 2006, he was in charge of NSSMC's business in India as a Senior Manager of Automotive Flat Products Export Dept. He was a member of the negotiation team for the CAPL joint venture project negotiations between TSL and NSSMC, which later developed into the establishment of JCAPCPL. He played an important role in conclusion the Joint Venture Agreement of JCAPCPL in 2011 and establishment of the Company in 2012. From 2015, he has been serving as a General Manager (Global Business Development), Flat Products Unit and is in charge of various overseas businesses of NSSMC including JCAPCPL.

Jaya S Panda is the Chief, Learning & Development and Chief Diversity Officer at Tata Steel. She holds degrees from BIT Mesra and XLRI, Jamshedpur. In her 25+ years at Tata Steel, she has worked across departments like Engineering & Projects, Supply Chain and Total Quality Management. At TQM, she spearheaded the company's quality journey leading to several recognitions.

In her current role as Chief of Learning & Development, she is responsible for enabling knowledge & skill building of the workforce. She is also tasked with the responsibility of enhancing employability and employment opportunities for the youth from the communities around Tata Steel’s operations through skilling efforts taken up the J N Tata Vocational Training Institute – a public charitable trust set up by Tata Steel in 2015. Jaya is a Gold certified TBEM (Tata Business Excellence Model) assessor, and a JUSE (Japanese Union of Scientists & Engineers) certified TQM professional. She is the Chairperson of the Internal Committee of POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) for Tata Steel and is on the Board of a subsidiary company of Tata Steel

Mr. Kapil Modi, a qualified Electronics Engineer from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, has over 29 years of professional experience with Tata Steel. His experience ranges from engineering, operation, maintenance to QA and TQM. He has worked in different capacities across functions and locations in Operation and Maintenance. He joined Tata Steel as Graduate Trainee in 1996 and his career in the organisation began as Senior Officer, Project Gopalpur. He has handled multiple roles in various departments such as CRM (Project), CRM (Operations), CRM- Mills and Utilities Electrical Maintenance, Office of VP Shared Services, Iron Making Electrical Maintenance, Pellet Plants at Jamshedpur & Meramandali. In 2021, he was appointed as Executive Plant Head, Khopoli & Hosur, and in 2025 he was appointed as Chief Mills & Downstream, Tata Steel Meramandali. In over 5+ years, unit performance was turned around in all areas- Safety, Sustainability, Operations and Technology unit with ~6000 people and ~Rs. 7000 crore turnover on its way to excellence. He has been part of leadership team to achieve two business turnarounds - Pellet Plant, TSM downstream and two completed TBEM assessments. He has keen interest in technology. He brings rich experience and in-depth expertise from his exposure to varied verticals within the organisation. His deep understanding of handling various verticals in Tata Steel makes him most suitable for this position. Effective May 1, 2026, Mr. Modi is the Managing Director of the Company.

Mr. Taniguchi joined Nippon Steel after completing his master's degree in mechanical engineering at Kyushu University, Japan. He started his carrier as an engineer of cold rolling, annealing and tinplate processes at the Yawata Works. Subsequently he held key positions in the manufacturing, production control and digital transformation departments both at Nippon Steel Corporation Steel Works and at the Head Office. After serving as the Head of Plant of the Tinplate Mill and Head of the Production Control Department at Yawata Works, he held the position of the General Manager, Head of the Sheet and Coils Division at Kyushu Works (merger of the Yawata and Oita Works). In addition to his long experience as an Engineer in charge of the Continuous Annealing Process, he also has extensive experience in the area of Production Management and IT. He has also managed organizations of several hundred employees as the head of Tinplate Mill and Sheet and Coils Division, at Nippon Steel Corporation and has an excellent track record in terms of operational knowledge, experience and management skills.
